🎚️ The Perfomio Method
A category in Perfomio represents a characteristic, virtue, skill, attitude or activity you have chosen to develop and master. Your slider score (0–100) reflects your honest self-assessment of how you performed in that area today.
How to use the system for maximum results:
Step 1 — Focus: Select one category as your weekly focal point. Use the ⭐ emphasis star to mark it as your priority. Every day that week, bring conscious attention and deliberate action to that single category whenever the opportunity arises.
Step 2 — Internalise and advance: In week two, shift your focus star to the next category. Trust that the previous week's work has begun to embed itself through repetition and habit. If that earlier category demands your attention during the week — act on it immediately. The self-command "Do it now!" is your trigger to act without hesitation.
Step 3 — Cycle and repeat: Work through each category in turn. When you reach the last one, start the cycle again. Perfomio recommends 13 categories — completing the full cycle four times across a calendar year, building compound momentum with every pass.
Step 4 — Evolve your categories: When a category feels truly habitual and your scores consistently reflect mastery, retire it and introduce a new characteristic you wish to develop. Your tracker grows as you grow.
🎚️ Setting a Score Using the Slider
Each slider runs from 0 (Poor) to 100 (Excellent). Drag the thumb to your honest score for that category today. The number displayed on the slider updates as you drag. Hover over the icon next to any category name to see the coaching prompt for that category.
⭐ Using Emphasis (Focus Star)
Click the ⭐ star button on any slider row to mark it as a focus category for this session. Emphasised categories are highlighted in amber and recorded with your session — useful for tracking which areas you're deliberately working on. Emphasis resets when you save so you can choose fresh each time.
💾 Saving a Session
Set your scores, optionally pick a mood and write notes, then give the session a name (or leave it blank to auto-name). Hit Save Session. Sessions are stored locally in your browser — they will persist until you clear your browser data, so use Create Backup regularly.
📜 Viewing History & Charts
Switch to the History tab to see all past sessions. Use the metric checkboxes to choose which categories to plot, then toggle between Radar (great for seeing your overall shape) and Line chart (great for seeing trends over time). The Radar chart defaults to the most recent session and can compare two sessions side-by-side. Use Download Chart to save the chart as a PNG.
📄 Generating a Progress Report
In the History tab, choose a lookback period (last 5, 10, 20, or all sessions) and click Generate Report. The report shows highlights like most improved category, consistency scores, average vs target for each metric, and a first-vs-latest radar snapshot. Click Print / Save as PDF to export it.
🛠️ Editing Your Tracker (Edit Tracker)
Click Edit Tracker on the Tracker tab. You can rename any category, update its coaching prompt (cue), and set a target score. Add new categories with the Add Category button, remove any with the trash button, and reorder them using the ↑ ↓ arrows (or drag-and-drop on desktop). On mobile, use the arrows as drag-and-drop can be unreliable on touchscreens.
You can also create and manage Groups — visual dividers that organise your categories into sections (e.g. Mental, Physical, Technical). Use the Add Group button at the top of the modal, then assign each category to a group via its dropdown.
📚 Using the Tracker Library
The Library tab contains pre-built trackers you can load instantly — including Self-Assessment, MMA / Combat Sports, Mindfulness & Wellbeing, Sales Performance, Grim Hustle, and Diet & Nutrition.
Each tracker has its own completely separate session history — switching trackers never mixes your data. The currently active tracker is shown with a green ACTIVE badge. Click Load Tracker on any other card to switch. First time loading saves the template; returning to a previously used tracker restores your history and any customisations you made.
Your session history is always preserved when switching — only the categories and groups change.
💾 Backup & Restore
Create Backup downloads a JSON file containing all your sessions, categories and settings. Keep it somewhere safe — it is the only copy of your data outside this device/browser. Restore loads a backup file and replaces the current tracker data. You'll be warned if the backup was made from a different tracker.
Your Data is Private
Perfomio stores everything locally in your browser using localStorage. No data is ever sent to a server. To keep your data safe long-term, use Create Backup regularly and store the file in a safe place.
